Volume 14 Issue 5 - Page 3 May 2006

Hello Babes!

My name is Joa Tifa, and I recently started working here at BABES Network-YWCA, as a peer counselor. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York when I was eight years old.

I am Latina, and I speak fluent Spanish. I have resided in Seattle for 11 years. I have a two year old son who I love very much!

I found out that I was HIV positive in December of 1999. I worked at BABES in 2000. I love it so much that I'm back again!

I hope to see and talk with you all soon.

Hugs and Kisses, Joa

¡Hola Babes!

Abrazos y besos, Joa
