When Does The Madness End?

As the weather begins to start its seasonal change, I begin to think of the holidays that have passed. Did I prepare a well thought out meal for Thanksgiving with all the trimmings? Or did I buy the right Christmas gift for a loved one? Hmm, maybe I should have picked a more achievable New Years resolution. Before you know it the stores are busy with people shopping at the last minute for a Valentine for their sweetheart or maybe for their future sweetheart. None the less, it can be pretty hectic, especially if you're one of those people who just have to have complete holiday success.

I would really like to consider March my downtime month. The month where I can get my finances in order and try not to think about what ever holiday is coming up. Now don't get me wrong, the holidays are nice. But sometimes I just want to be able to have some sort of mini holiday vacation. This March I really just plan to get some work done around the house and spend time with my children. For some, March means college basketball playoffs. We won't even get into that insanity. But for myself it means some corned beef and cabbage stew on one of these cold rainy nights or a night out with the girls celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Pioneer Square.

What ever I decide to do, it will definitely be on my terms and at my pace. My life has been so hectic lately, I could really use the downtime to just start appreciating my friends and family. It's starting to become apparent to me that we are not always promised tomorrow, so we should really try to value today.

Take care everyone!

A mí me gustaría considerar a marzo mi mes tranquilo.
