Letters from
Retreat
I thank God for allowing me to get away from the
city and go to a relaxing atmosphere which is so much closer to him. I was
really stressed out and almost at the end of my rope. I was so unhappy until I
went to retreat. The serenity at Marrowstone was very spiritual for me. I
walked and talked with God and got rid of all my stress. I cleared my mind and
found the true me with the help of God, other Babes and the exquisite Babes
staff.
Today I have peace of mind. I am stress- and
buster-free! My mind is clear; I'm pain free and I know I can reach my goals in
life. I can't find the words to express how I feel about the Babes staff, they
are a part of my success story, and I love every one of them.

Hi everyone!
Just a few lines to share what I got from the
retreat. Being a new member, to what I'm now calling my family, since I have
none of my own, I was scared at first to even go. But I'm glad that I did. I
met some of the most caring and wonderful ladies and staff of the BABES
Network, who literally worked their buts off to make sure that each and every
woman got personal contact and attention.
The catered dinner was so impressive and
extravagant that I broke down and cried! I was not used to others doing things
for me. I made a lot of connections, so now I have support and I don't feel
alone. I have been HIV positive since August 2004.
I learned a lot about the disclosure laws and safe
sex and alternatives for safer sex. I got the most personal joy from teaching
beach life, surf creatures and their names, to all the girls from the city. I
had lots of fun teasing everyone with a little lizard clearing the room some
times!
There was lots to do at retreat, and this letter
wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention how everyone got down and funky with
karaoke - all drug and alcohol free, we be jammin', BABES got it goin' on!
Anyway, I had lots of fun and can't wait to do it
again next year - you won't have to twist my arm. Stay safe and healthy
everyone. Love to all. And please, girl, pick up your phones and call a BABE
today just to keep in touch.

Cartas del retiro
Agradezco a Dios por
haberme permitido salir de la ciudad e ir a una atmósfera relajante,
más cercana a él. Estaba muy estresada y casi al final de la
cuerda. Estaba muy infeliz hasta que fue al retiro de las Babes. La serenidad
en Marrowstone fue muy espiritual para mí. Caminé y hablé
con Dios y me liberé de todo mi estrés, aclaré mi mente y
encontré a mi verdadero yo con la ayuda de Dios, otras Babes y con el
personal exquisito de las Babes.
Hoy tengo paz en mi mente.
¡Estoy sin estrés y liberada! Mi mente es clara, estoy sin dolor y
sé que puedo alcanzar mis metas en la vida. No puedo encontrar las
palabras para expresar mis sentimientos hacia el personal de las Babes. Ellas
son parte de mi historia exitosa, y amo a cada una de ellas.

¡Hola, todas!
Apenas algunas
líneas para compartir con Uds. lo que conseguí del retiro. Siendo
un nuevo miembro, a lo que ahora estoy llamando mi familia, puesto que no tengo
mi propia, tenía miedo al principio para ir. Pero estoy alegre que lo
hice. Encontré a unas de las señoras más cuidadosas y el
personal maravillosas de las BABES Network, quienes literalmente trabajaron sus
nalgas para dar a cada mujer el contacto y la atención personal.
¡La cena abastecida
era tan impresionante y extravagante que lloré! No estoy acostumbrada a
ser cuidado. Hice muchos conexiones, así que ahora tengo ayuda y no me
siento sóla. He sido positiva del VIH desde el agosto de 2004.
Aprendí mucho sobre
los leyes del acceso y el sexo seguro y los alternativas de sexo.
Conseguí la alegría más personal de vida de
enseñanza de la playa, de compartir los nombres de las criaturas de la
resaca a todas las muchachas de la ciudad. ¡Me divertí
especialmente de embromar un pequeño lagarto que despejaba en el cuarto
algunas veces!
¡Había tanto
que hacer durante el retiro, y esta letra no sería completa si no
mencioné cómo cada una conseguido abaja y cobarde con el karaoke
- todo sin drogas y alcohol, seamos jammin', las BABES saben festejar!
De todas formas, era
divertido, y no puedo esperar para hacerlo otra vez el año que viene -
no tendrán que torcer mi brazo. Quédanse segura y sana, cada una.
Amor a todas. ¡Y por favor, muchachas, toman sus teléfonos y
llaman hoy, justo para mantener contaco con las BABES!
