Theater for
Development
Are you a Drama Queen?
Are you shyer than shy?
Whatever your personality type, if you have
a story to tell, an experience to share, or the desire to make a difference in
your community, this opportunity is for you!
Together with Caroline Brown of the "Theater
for Development Project" at the University of Winchester in England, the staff
of BABES Network-YWCA and Live Girls! Theather cordially invite you to
participate in an 8-week theater workshop beginning in late October and running
through mid-December.
The purpose of the Theater for Development
Project is to provide BABES with the skills and resources necessary to use
theater and performance as a means of sharing experiences and creating
awareness in their communities.
Group members will work together to decide
on project goals, but some past projects have culminated in a community-wide
theater performance for an audience of several hundred people! Workshops will
be held at the BABES office. A minimum four-hour per week commitment is
required.

compartir, o el deseo diferenciar en su comunidad, esta oportunidad
podría ser para usted!
Junto con Caroline
Brown del Proyecto "Teatro para el Desarrollo" en la universidad de Winchester
en Inglaterra, los personales de BABES Network-YWCA y el Teatro Muchachas
Vivas! cordialmente te invitan a participar en un taller del teatro que dura
por ocho semanas, comenzando en octubre y terminando en diciembre de 2005.
El propósito
del proyecto Teatro para el Desarrollo es proveer a las BABES las habilidades y
los recursos necesarios para utilizar el teatro y el funcionamiento como los
medios de compartir experiencias y de crear conocimiento en sus comunidades.
¡Las miembras
del grupo trabajarán juntas para decidir sobre metas del proyecto, pero
otros proyectos han culminado en un funcionamiento a nivel comunitario del
teatro para una audiencia de cientos! Los talleres estaran en la oficina de
BABES. Se requiere un mínimo de cuatro horas por semana.
