Volume 12 Issue 3 - Page 4 March 2004

(Continued from page 3)

Discuss your exercise routine with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you. You should also talk to a registered dietitian (RD) and your doctor before you start a new diet. Your doctor may suggest hormones (lke estroge or testosterone) to take along with your diet and exercise. In some cases your doctor may also suggest that you take a prescription medicine like oamax or Citracal.

Why Walking

by Danita

Okay, walking is an unusual topic for the newsletter, but it is an important part of our lives. Walking is a great way to exercise and an inexpensive form of transortation. And yes, I do walk. I am overweight, but I truly believe that I have a strong heart and overall good health because I walk.

If you are a BABE and in need of a good workout, fresh air and good company, walk to the BABES Network office. "Walking" was chosen to encourage you BABES to be active participants. SO, caress your feet, put on some good walking shoes and get over here.

¿Por qué caminar?
Por Danita

Vale.
