I only just recently started HAART therapy. I
recently moved to the Seattle area from Northern California. I am still trying
to adjust to the weather. I look forward to working with all of ou BABES and
the BABES Network staff.
I hope to see you all at group on Wednesdays
and/or Thursdays. If you come into the BABES office, be sure to say HI!!!
Meet Mindy:
My
name is Mindy Gresham: I am the new Peer Counselor/VOlunteer Coordinator at
BABES Network. I am 21 years old and living with HIV. As a woman with this
disease, I think it's important to stay connected to other HIV+ women. The
support at BABES Network is very important and I find that it is a great stress
reliever to talk with someone who knows what you are going through and will
keep your confidentiality.
I am so excited and blessed to have BABES Network
and all the beautiful women that will be incorporated into my life. I look
forward to meeting you BABES, learning from you, and sharing my experience with
you all.
MEN'S Group
We need men to partiipate in a monthly support
group beginning in August for heterosexual men.

Conozcan a Nicole
Me llamo Nicole Price, y soy la
nueva coordinadora del programa de conserjeras y de eventos para la BABES
Network. Me diagnosticaron con el VIH en octubre del 2000. Recientemente
empecé la terapia HAART. Yo liego a Seattle desde la zona norte de
California, y todavia sigo adjustandomed al tiempo borroso de mi nueva ciudad.
Me encanta tener la oportunidad de trabajar con ustedes y con el resto del
personal de la BABES Network.
Tengo ganas de verlas en las
reuniones de los miércoles y de los jueves. Si viene a la oficina, por
favor vengan a saludame.
Conozca a Mindy
Me llama Mindy Gersham. Soy la nueva
consejera y coordinadora de voluntarios para la BABES Network. Tengo 21
años y vivo con el VIH. Porque soy una mujer que vive con esta
enfermedad, creo que es importante conectar con otras mujeres VIH positivas. El
apoyo que la BABES Network ofrece es muy importante. Creo que me ayuda aliviar
el estrés cuando puedo hablar con alguien que sabe lo que significa vivr
con el VIH, y con alguien que sabe mantener tu privacidad.
Estoy entusiasmada y me
siento bendecida de haber incorporado a todas las mujeres bellas de la BABES
Network en mi vida. Tengo muchas ganas de conocertas y compartirlas
experiencias de mi vida con ustedes.
