Volume 9 will feature exciting new plays from all over the country, plus two brand new commissioned works from Seattle writers Kristina Sutherland and Holly Arsenault. Created with the simple idea of exposing audiences to as many talented writers as possible in one evening, Quickies features a wide variety of new work. From Krista Knight's absurd comedy about a 300 pound fourth grader who disrupts the laws of physics, to Allison Moore's haunting exploration of the nature of memory and Lia Romeo's hilarious and surprising suburban fantasy about the price of security, Quickies has something for everyone. As always, Quickies includes up and coming local directors and actors as well as tons of gratuitous entertainment in between the plays. It all adds up to a fantastic not to be missed event!
