Feature: YWCA Working Wardrobe and Dress for Success® Seattle
If you've ever been to the BABES office, then you
probably know all about our "Magic Closet." Full of donated women's and
children's clothing, accessories, toiletries and household items such as
toasters and blankets, the Magic Closet is truly a place where BABES can
transform themselves! Whether it's Madeline finding a new dress for church,
Johanna finding a brand new winter coat for her 2-year-old son or Elaine
finding the perfect outfit to wear to that job interview, many a Babe has found
"magic" in the BABES Magic Closet.
We welcome you to visit the Magic Closet anytime
the BABES office is open. But for those of you looking for more professional
attire-or just a larger selection of clothes-the YWCA offers two other amazing
clothing resources, Working Wardrobe and Dress for Success® Seattle, both
of which are available to BABES members!
With locations in Seattle, Redmond and Everett,
the YWCA's Working Wardrobe program is a unique clothing bank offering free,
business appropriate attire to homeless or low-income women in need of clothing
for interviews or new jobs. The Working Wardrobe is staffed by volunteers and
serves more than 3,200 women each year.
Working Wardrobe locations in Seattle and Redmond
operate on a voucher system. Interested Babes should call Nicole, Tonya or
Kelly @ 206.720.5566 or 1.888.292.1912 (toll-free) to receive a referral for a
free voucher, which can be redeemed at one of those two locations. The Everett
Working Wardrobe is open Thursdays, Noon to 6 pm, by appointment only.
Interested Babes should call the Everett directly, in advance, to schedule an
appointment.

Dress for Success® Seattle (DFSS) promotes
self-confidence and financial independence in low-income women who are
transitioning into the workplace. DFSS provides women with the tools and
support they need to begin and grow successful careers. DFSS is part of the
national Dress for Success network which provides interview suits, confidence
boosts and career development services to more than 45,000 women in over 75
cities each year.
Locally, DFSS and the YWCA have teamed up to bring
these important services to women in need. DFSS is housed at the main YWCA
building located in downtown Seattle at the corner of Fifth Avenue & Seneca

Si tú has visitado la
oficina de BABES, entonces probablemente ya sabes todo acerca de nuestro
"Armario Mágico." Repleto de la ropa donada para mujeres y niños,

Redmond y Everett, el programa de trabajo de Guardarropa de YWCA es una ofrenda
extraordinaria del banco de la ropa liberta, el negocio apropia traje a sin
hogar o mujeres de bajo-ingresos necesitadas de la ropa para entrevistas o
nuevos trabajos. La Guardarropa de trabajo es proveída por voluntarios y

Dress for Success ®
Seattle (DFSS) promueve confianza en sí mismo e independencia financiera
en mujeres de bajo-ingresos que transitioning en el lugar de trabajo. DFSS
