Bring "HOPE" to your community and see the impact...
“Thank you for coming in and telling your story … It really made me think about the choices I make.”
Since expanding our outreach programs in 2005, BABES has provided prevention education to over 1,500 women and girls in Seattle and surrounding communities.
The powerful stories that HOPE Project speakers share give a human face to the disease, thus cutting through stereotypes and assumptions and challenging listeners to recognize their own risks factors. The women of BABES have always been passionate about arming other women and girls with the tools to protect themselves against HIV infection.
Testimonials...
You both look just as normal, loving and caring as both my parents and many others in my life. Thanks for the big eye opener…
-Brittany, Echo Glen Juvenile Detention Center Student
Thank you for coming and showing us all about HIV/AIDS so that we don’t judge other people that have HIV/AIDS so that we understand them and not to be mean or say something that would hurt them.
- Jorge, Middle School Student
I just want you to know that the girls that you spoke with last week were deeply moved by your stories…Multiple girls said that they had learned a lot…They also said even though they had been learning about HIV for years that it wasn’t until y’all came in that it became real.
